Azure Data & Platform Engineer - Serbia/Mexico - Remote

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of SQL Server and PostgreSQL workloads to Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
• Design, deploy, and support Platform‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) and Database‑as‑a‑Service (DBaaS) offerings in Azure.
• Analyze and consolidate database instances to optimize performance, licensing, and cost.
• Implement Azure‑native backup, replication, disaster recovery, and security configurations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instances, and related Azure data services.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and database consolidation strategies.
• Experience in migrating legacy Unix/Linux‑based databases to modern cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Azure automation, monitoring, and security tools.
