These positions is covered by the CUPE 1825 Maintenance and Custodial collective agreement.The Casual Caretaker is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and clean environment for their assigned school and its community. The Casual Caretaker is supervised and trained by the Head Caretaker at their assigned school and the Maintenance Supervisor, and is assessed for performance by the Head Caretaker, Principal and Maintenance Supervisor. The Caretaker demonstrates a strong working knowledge of cleaning and general maintenance and must be able to complete all work tasks to a high degree of satisfaction.
