Certified Education Assistants On-Call

School District No. 83 is current seeking: Certified Education Assistants School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) requires Certified Education Assistants to work On-Call in All Areas. This is a Union Position; rate of pay $28.29 per hour. Qualifications Required: Grade twelve plus the Certified Education Assistant Course or equivalent recent experience (working with special needs students with partial physical and/or mental handicaps or learning disabilities). Four months’ recent successful experience working with children in a structured program or school setting. Demonstrated ability to be firm and gentle in dealing with individual students. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all school and support services personnel involved in program delivery, often with minimal supervision.
