Responsibilities:
Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle on long-haul routes, primarily on the Dempster Highway from Whitehorse to InuvikEnsure safe and timely delivery of cargo while adhering to all transportation regulations and company policiesPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain truck safety and complianceAccurately complete and maintain all required documentation, including logbooks, inspection reports, and delivery receiptsNavigate challenging road conditions, including gravel roads, ice roads, and mountain passesManage load securement and weight distribution to ensure safe transportCommunicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers using various communication toolsPerform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as neededAdapt to changing weather conditions and adjust driving techniques accordingly<...
