Job Description Summary

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Tech II follows procedural guides in the preparation of sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures, performs room duties involving direct patient care, and functions autonomously as a member of the operating room team. The role demonstrates knowledge, skills, and behaviors consistent with competent practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures.
• Perform room duties involving direct patient care and assist providers and nurses during surgeries.
• Assist with emergency situations that may arise in the operating room.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, supply restocking, instrument flow, and front‑desk customer service.
• Plan and collaborate with peers to assess patient and surgeon needs during procedures.
