**What’s The Role**
The IT specialist is primarily responsible, under supervision, for meeting the onsite IT-related technical support and maintenance requirements for the company. In this regard, the job holder will be required to perform the operational tasks and duties required to maintain and support the company’s computers, mobile / tablet devices, printers, and desk phones, amongst others. In addition, support of technology such as footfall counters, queue trackers, bill payment kiosks, etc. in the company’s retail outlets will also be required. The job holder may be called upon to assist other IT departments such as IT Infrastructure or Networks where such assistance is required. This support may involve but not be limited to providing server administration, disaster recovery, backup administration, and virtualization administration. The job holder may also be required to perform other IT-related functions that are specific to the business unit in which they reside.
