Family Physician (300-1110) (Permanent Family Practice)

The Gold River Health Clinic has an opportunity for a physician to provide primary care, on a 0.5 FTE basis, to the communities of Gold River and Tahsis, with Gold River being the primary practice location with visiting services to Tahsis.

This is a job share opportunity with another physician who joined the practice in . The other physician position is held by two physicians who share the practice and have been here several years. There is also a part time Nurse Practitioner. The clinic is an Island Health facility which also houses social worker visiting public health, physiotherapy, and a visiting adult mental health worker.

While this is a primary care focused position the physician will also provide emergency care to patients who come to the clinic ER room. Nurses provide first call and contact the physician if assistance is required; the nurses also provide point of care laboratory services after hours.
