Job Summary The Department of Medicine at Peace Arch Hospital (PAH )is looking for three General Internal Medicine (GIM) specialists. PAH is a community hospital in White Rock. We have a rapidly growing community, which supports the hospital. We have an excellent Hospitalist group covering all medical inpatients excluding ICU and telemetry patients. We are going to a series of remodeling and expansion, including the recent completion of a brand new ER and OR, and now undergoing construction with a new, state of the art, ICU and telemetry unit. The successful candidate will be part of the GIM group practice. IM call covers consultations as General IM, including most of the specialties, ICU, and telemetry; we have seven ICU beds with a maximum capacity of two vents at a time. Our doctors currently rotate once every 6 weeks to cover ICU/telemetry/consult service during the day from -H Monday-Sunday. On call is MOCAP level I from -H next day.
