Position Overview
The Managing Director is the senior administrative leader of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and is responsible for the organization’s operational, financial, and strategic management. Working in close partnership with the Artistic Director and the Board of Directors, the Managing Director ensures the long-term sustainability, visibility, and impact of the Choir while supporting the realization of its artistic vision.
The Managing Director oversees all administrative and operational functions of the organization, including program operations, development, marketing, finance, governance, human resources, and external relations. The role also serves as a principal ambassador for the Choir within the arts community, with patrons, funders, sponsors, and strategic partners.
This position reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Artistic Director in a collaborative leadership model.
