- Advanced proficiency in English, including excellent oral and written communication.
- Broad teaching competencies and ample experience to teach a range of the English Department’s current courses, including ELA 6, 7, and 8.
- Ability to design and implement dynamic lesson plans that promote student growth and learning in literacy and composition.
- Understanding of how to leverage formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
- Enthusiasm for intellectual inquiry, rigor, aspiration, and lifelong learning.
