Nurse Practitioner - Nexus Primary Care Clinic (Nanaimo PCN) 200-1794 (Nurse Practitioner)

The Nexus Primary Care Clinic is looking for a 0.6- 0.8FTE Nurse Practitioner to join our team as we build healthier communities and develop a network of outstanding healthcare professionals. This clinic is operated by the Nexus Patient and Community Care Society and is a partnership with the Ministry of Health, Island Health and Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC and is a part of Nanaimo’s Primary Care Network.

NPs at the Nexus Clinic work in a team-based model of care; working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Allied Health Clinicians (Social Work and Mental Health and Substance Use) and a Clinical Pharmacist.

Responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive assessment of patients including diagnosing diseases,

disorders and conditions.

• Initiate treatment including health care management, therapeutic

interventions and prescribe medications.
