Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps by creating programs for CNC machine tools related to the fabrication of parts according to customer requirements while minimizing costs. Second of two levels of CNC programming. Uses knowledge of machine operations to develop code to control machine operation. Works primarily from engineered drawings and specifications using knowledge of machine operation and develops code to control machine operation. May determine the suitability of a part for automation and may determine the appropriate machine assignments on the basis of efficiency and quality requirements. Prepares process plans, including positioning of carriage and/or tool, rate of feed, speed of rotation, tool changes, type of tool, sequence of operations and other applicable variables.
