Detailed Overview
Under the general supervision of the Chief Paramedical of Respiratory Services, performs pulmonary function, methacholine challenge and cardiopulmonary stress procedures. Assists with the maintenance and quality control of equipment and completes documentation as required. Responsibilities Performs pulmonary function procedures including spirometry, lung volume determination, diffusion capacity, inhalation challenges, and arterial blood gas punctures. Performs cardiopulmonary exercise studies. Completes and files testing documents and records. Assists in the monitoring of pulmonary function and stress testing equipment, conducts calibration and quality control checks according to standards, and arranges maintenance and repair as required.
