Senior Accountant - Acquisition and Accounting, public practice exp pref.

Description

Our client, in the private equity industry, is looking for a newly designated CPA with solid public practice / ASPE experience to take on this role. This company is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company in downtown Vancouver with businesses in various provinces. Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:




- Ensuring that all acquisitions are correctly accounted for - including the preparation and approval of post- closing adjustments after acquisition;



- Preparing financial statements of all entities acquired and/or formed in connection with the acquisitions for first and subsequent year ends;



- Creating complete working paper files including documentation supporting final financial statements;



- Working with vendors, as well as their accountants and lawyers, to ensure sufficient acquisition records are obtained in order to properly manage target companies goin...
