About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant specializing in Indirect Tax, you will prepare and complete tax returns and reports related to provincial, property, sales, and other tax liabilities. Your role includes ensuring compliance with all deadlines, staying updated on relevant tax laws, reviewing business proposals for tax implications, and assisting in tax audits. You may also be involved in assessing the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions.
What You’ll Do:
Perform tax calculations and gather accounting information to ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations.
Research transaction tax issues and provide informed guidance based on the latest indirect tax laws and regulations.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of tax accounts, including detailed analysis to verify account balances.
