Senior Counsel - Trusts, Estates & Capacity

Job Description

What is the opportunity? As Senior Counsel based out of Toronto or Montreal, you will support the goals of the Global Technology & Trusts Law team in achieving the strategic priorities and operational performance objectives of Law Group. You will provide support and guidance to various business partners, stakeholders and functional groups in the areas of estates/successions, registered plans, powers of attorney/mandates, incapacity, trusts and guardianship/tutorship in both common and civil law jurisdictions, with a focus on Quebec civil law, reporting directly to the Managing Counsel leading the Trusts, Estates, and Capacity Centre of Excellence.What will you do? 

Identify, assess and mitigate legal, reputational and regulatory risks relating to escalations, client complaints, inquiries and exception requests in the areas of described above.
