**Description**
This position is responsible for quality cost-effective maintenance, repair, and inspection of cars and locomotives.
It leads service track and car shop operations.
This position is responsible for responding to and handling service interruptions within the terminal and in mainline.
This position manages special projects in support of mechanical operations and personnel.
**Accountabilities**
- Manages car and locomotive operations including: shop, terminal and service track.
- Monitors safety, quality and production performance in shop, terminal and service track.
- Communicates with appropriate parties of all aspects of shop, terminal and service track capacity, daily plan and shift turnover documentation to ensure plan execution (conference calls, schedule adjustments, staging plans, terminal interaction, inspection and other duties as assigned.)
