JOB SUMMARY

Facilities/Maintenance technicians operate and maintain facilities equipment including building controls, fire protection systems, HVAC, and other utilities such as chillers, boilers, air handling units, exhaust ventilation, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, compressed air systems, reheat, fire prevention, emergency power generators, water treatment, UPS, and environmental control systems. They document all maintenance activities in a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and perform maintenance services and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting and other building upkeep. They also coordinate, inspect, and support facility related projects such as remodeling, equipment installation, safety and environmental compliance, mechanical systems maintenance and energy management programs.
